Mentor, How Do You Find One?

By

Mentorship, the act of being a mentor or guiding someone.  How do you find a good mentor and what makes a good mentor?  In other words who is going to be guiding you? Most people who decide they would like guidance and direction/help in business really want to be able to find a mentor or someone to guide them a long.  Below I’ll give a few guidelines to help you in your search.

First and foremost you need to find someone that is a product of their information.  There are many famous authors out there that can write a great book with good content but they write better books than they actually help people create results.  If you want to write a great book you need to learn from a best selling author.  If you want to succeed in business out side of writing you need to find someone who has succeeded and has a track record of helping others to succeed.  An author that writes about business without business results isn’t a credible source even if they can write and entertain an audience in print.

Second, you want someone who has created success in a very step by step fashion.  Something they can easily teach you.  This is why I love Dani Johnson as a mentor and why I’ve followed her training and taught others how to apply it as well. Because of Dani’s methods I’ve seen thousands increase their income and pay off millions in debt.  Today I still teach how to apply Dani’s scripts and concepts because it’s what I still do daily to build my own income.

Finally, you need someone who is willing to be there to help you and tell you what you need to hear even if it’s not always what you want to hear.  We have enough people in life being politically correct and gently skirting difficult issues.  Your success relies on knowing what you need to know when you need to know it!  Period. If you are going the wrong direction you need someone to boldly stand in front of you and point in the right direction.  Your life is to important and your time is to valuable to be beating around the bush with strategies and tips you need, when you need it.

As long as you find a mentor that is a product of their own advice, they have a step by step method that has proven results like Dani Johnson and they are willing to be bold in teaching and helping you along the way.  We are aren’t talking about someone that “calls” themselves a coach and charges a fee.  That’s crap, we are talking about someone who is making a living and living a life like you want to live already.  If you find someone who has these qualities you follow their lead no matter what.
